If a task has to be done the same way twice, it should be automated the third time. I look after the pipelines and the checks that run on every commit — the boring machinery that lets us deploy daily without holding our breath.

I like backend work because the constraints are honest — either the data stays consistent and the service stays up, or it doesn't. I care about code the next person can read, and I would rather spend an extra hour in review than a night on a production incident.

I enjoy taking a vague requirement and turning it into something predictable that holds under real traffic. Code review is where most of my learning happens — both reading other people's work and having my own picked apart.
